After high school I joined the Air Force serving as a forward air controller. I am a Vietnam veteran. I taught for 33 years as a math teacher, football and track coach. I retired from teaching in 2007 and I am now working as a Park Ranger.
I had the honor to be selected to carry the Olympic Torch for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. I was fortunate to be chosen to work the same Winter Games first as a Ski Patroller then as a Olympic athlete shuttle driver from the Olympic Village to the various competition venues.
I remember the fun and excitement of our pep rallies in the school auditorium. We had this large box that contained horns and bells that made alot of noise and we would place this thing in the balcony for optimum effect.
Bob, my "old" friend, wishing you all of the best on your birthday. Thank you for your service on this Memorial Day. I just got back from the parade here in Medina. I march with our VFW chapter. It feels good to participate.
