Ellenor Doddridge Stark, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Hudson, Ohio on May 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Known affectionately by her grandchildren as Gram-E, Ellie was born on October 13, 1947, in Berea, Ohio. A proud graduate of Berea High School, Miami University, and Kent State University as a Jennings Scholar, Ellie taught elementary education for over three decades, primarily at Evamere Elementary in Hudson. She was beloved by her coworkers and students. She loved teaching, reading, and maintaining an impeccably ordered home.
She leaves a legacy through her children, Susan (Bryce) and Thomas (Mollie), grandchildren Miller, Malley, Alaska, and Summit, siblings Kay (Thomas) and Susan, sister-in-law Gail, her favorite nieces, favorite nephews, cousins and her beloved grand-dog Hank Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna Doddridge, daughter Sarah Ann Stark, and brother Thomas Doddridge.
Ellie's warmth, wisdom, and generosity touched many. She is profoundly missed.
All services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hudson Schools Foundation. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Danbury in Hudson for the care Ellie received in recent years.
